Nandua hosted Arcadia’s softball team on Thursday, April 21, for the teams’ first meeting of the year. The Warriors won 5-3.

It was a pitching duel between Nandua’s Reghan Hintz and Arcadia’s Sydney Jester through the first three innings. The Lady Warriors managed to draw one run across the plate in the bottom of the fourth giving them the early lead. Arcadia quickly responded in the fifth inning, scoring three runs. The Lady Firebirds had the lead going into the bottom of the sixth, before Nandua recorded a clutch four-run inning. Arcadia was unable to respond as the Lady Warriors added another victory to its record.

Reghan Hintz earned the win for Nandua in the circle after pitching a full seven-inning game. Hintz allowed only four hits and three runs while striking out nine and walking zero.
