The Nandua Indoor Soccer League competes from January through March at Nandua High School. The league just completed its 20th season under the direction of Nandua’s head soccer coach, Paul Nolz.

In the league this year, over 100 young soccer players played on 12 teams in two divisions for eight weeks. Each team in the U-10 and U-14 divisions is named after the national teams that compete in the World Cup.

Team Germany, coached by Miguel Diaz, defeated second place France to win the under 10 championship. Team Germany went undefeated in the regular season as well as the tournament. Shabi Perez displayed a powerful attack by scoring multiple goals for team Germany. While displaying a good team effort, Caiden Huffman and Harper Hickman showed great promise on defense.

Team Mexico, directed by Brandon Seauda and Aaron Cruz, defeated team Brazil 7-2 to dominate the U-14 division championship. All members of team Mexico did an outstanding job as Adrian Rosales controlled the backline while Dylan Padgett scored goals. Liam Aniger demonstrated his prowess in the goal for the champions. Mexico played the beautiful game with excellent passing and a balanced team effort.

Players and parents enjoyed the fast action league each Sunday afternoon at Nandua High School. Players interested in playing next season or enrolling in two of the Paul Nolz Soccer Camps or other soccer activities this summer are encouraged to contact Coach Nolz at 757-787-7625.
