Mr. Robert (Bob) Stephen Beshak, age 82, passed away in his New Jersey home in Egg Harbor Township on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., Bob was a resident of Cedar View Beach in Painter at the time of his passing.
Bob graduated from Rahway High School in 1960. He then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1960 to 1964.
He was employed by United Parcel Service (UPS) for 30 years. He retired in 1997. He was a member of American Legion Post 248 in Colonia, N.J. He was also a member of Exmore Moose Lodge 683 in Belle Haven.
Bob enjoyed tending to his properties and in-ground pool as he hosted gatherings for his family and friends. Baseball, fishing, boating, attending air shows, and exploring casinos across the country were high on his list of fun activities.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Beshak; his daughter, Suzanne; his son, Robert; his sister, Barbara; his grandson, Bryan; and his granddaughter, Lauren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen Beshak and Margaret Beshak.
A visitation and service of remembrance for Robert was held Friday, April 25, at The Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Ave., Egg Harbor Township, N.J., from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
