WALKING GROUP: 9 to 10 a.m., Island Community House, 6246 Mumford St., Chincoteague. Island Community House hosts a weekly 1.5 mile walk around downtown Chincoteague.
FESTIVAL: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Chincoteague Center, 6155 Community Drive, Chincoteague. The 38th annual Chincoteague Island Blueberry Festival features a variety of artists, crafters, and artisans selling their work. There will also be fresh blueberries, live music, and special blueberry treats. Admission is cash only. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children under age 12.
HOT DOG CART: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., No Limits Eastern Shore, 24546 Coastal Blvd., Tasley. No Limits will have its hot dog cart open.
TRAINING: Noon, Eastern Shore of Virginia Regional Library, Parksley. The library is hosting a training on how to use the Brother ScanNCut in the library MakerSpace. To register for the training call 757-787-3400.
NATURE PROGRAM: 1 to 2 p.m., South Beach at Kiptopeke State Park, 3540 Kiptopeke Drive, Cape Charles. Learn to net invertebrates and fish found at the beach.
CHICKEN SALAD SALE: 2 to 5 p.m., Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 30053 Seaside Road, Melfa. The church is hosting a chicken salad sale. Pints are $10.
HIKE: 3 to 4 p.m., Picnic Shelter 1 at Kiptopeke State Park, 3540 Kiptopeke Drive, Cape Charles. During the Life and Times of Kiptopeke Hike visitors can learn about the park’s history, geological context, and biological variety.
CAMPFIRE: 5 to 6 p.m., Campground Amphitheater at Kiptopeke State Park, 3540 Kiptopeke Drive, Cape Charles. Visitors can hear a nature presentation, touch real specimens, and roast marshmallows.
STREET FAIR: From 5 to 8 p.m., Pocomoke City will holds its Fourth Friday Street Festival downtown. This month’s theme is “Jingle Shells.” There will be a best dressed mermaid and merman contest and calypso music by C.O.P with Pineapple. There will be sidewalk vendors, music, kids activities, food, beer and wine, and more.
LIVE MUSIC: 5 to 8 p.m., Cape Charles Brewing Company, 2198 Stone Road, Cape Charles. The Speakeasies perform live.
