FESTIVAL: 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Chincoteague Center, 6155 Community Drive, Chincoteague. The 38th annual Chincoteague Island Blueberry Festival features a variety of artists, crafters, and artisans selling their work. There will also be fresh blueberries, live music, and special blueberry treats. Admission is cash only. Admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children under age 12.
STORYTIME: 10 a.m., David Landsberger Family YMCA, Chincoteague. The Chincoteague Island Library’s Tales 4 Tots features stories and activities for children from ages 2 to 5. This week’s activity will be toddler tumbling at the YMCA.
CHILDRENS PROGRAM: 10 a.m., Chincoteague Island Library, Chincoteague. Young Explorers is a Chincoteague Island Library program for children age 5 and up. This week children can learn about the culture of Assateague and make shell jewelry.
GAMES: 1 to 4 p.m., Island Community House, 6246 Mumford St., Chincoteague. The community is invited to a game day. Snacks are welcome.
FARMERS MARKET: 3 to 6 p.m., Farmers and Artisans Market at the Marina Club parking lot at Captains Cove, 3323 Dock Court, Greenbackville.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Island Community House, 6246 Mumford St., Chincoteague. In honor of National Vanilla Ice Cream Day and National Sprinkles Day, Island Community house is hosting an ice cream social, with Island Creamery vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. Games and puzzles will be available to play.
DANCE PARTY: 5 p.m., Eastern Shore of Virginia Regional Library, Parksley. Kids can put on their favorite dinosaur costume and dance to dinosaur-themed childrens music.
CHILDRENS GARDEN CLUB: 5 to 6:15 p.m., New Roots Youth Garden, Cape Charles. Children ages 5 to 13 can join this weekly garden club for hands-on learning and garden activities. Healthy snacks will be served. Closed-toe shoes are required.
CHILDRENS ART: 6 p.m., Northampton Free Library, Nassawadox. Children can make a dinosaur sand art necklace.
LIVE MUSIC: 6 to 8 p.m., Kuchisabishii, Onancock. Sean Thomas and the Kuchisabishii Jazz Trio perform live every Thursday.
