Mrs. Jackson Lee “Jackie” Edwards Spicer, 83, of Onancock, passed away on June 12, 2025, in Onancock.

Born on April 21, 1942, in Melfa, she was the daughter of the late Everett Edwards and Margaret Lilliston Edwards Jones. Jackie was a caretaker by nature and showed this through her job as a home health caretaker and with her family. She could often be found working in her flower gardens, which brought her great peace and joy. She was a compassionate mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed her flower garden, animals, and especially her grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Jonathan) Bundick, of Corinth, Texas; Leeanne (Greg) Nottingham, of Keller, and Wendy (John) Crockett, of Onancock; a brother, Ronnie Edwards, of Onancock; her grandchildren, Zachary Spicer, Oren Spicer, RJ Nottingham (Amariah), Katlin Nottingham, and Brittany Holston (Chris); and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Forest, and Willow Holston. She is also survived by special nieces, Sherry Branch, Kim Fisher, Deanie Bailey, and Tammy Hickman; nephews, Todd Godwin, Ron Godwin, Bill Branch, and Johnny Edwards; and fur babies, Fly Boots, Teddy Bear, Baby, and Sonny.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Belle Branch, Beverly Bradley, Bruce Edwards, and Jill Godwin.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 17, at 3 p.m. at Onancock Baptist Church with the Rev. Andy Cobb officiating.

Arrangements were by the Thornton Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Parksley.
