Mr. David Lee Williams, 77, passed away peacefully on Jan. 21, 2025, at his home in Willis Wharf, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on March 19, 1947, in Deep Creek, to Ruth Bruce Williams and William Louis Williams, David was a devoted son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

He grew up working on the water alongside his father, a foundational experience that instilled in him a strong work ethic and love for nature.

David was a master plumber known for his skill, precision, and dedication to his craft. His talents extended beyond plumbing to woodworking, fishing, golfing, gardening, and bowling. A true sportsman, he delighted in sharing his knowledge and experiences with his grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Barbara, Archie, Ronnie, Mary Liz, and Ruthann; and a grandson, Easton.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Cheryl Bowen Williams; children, Melissa Melody and her husband, Tony, and David Williams and his wife, Katie; his grandchildren, Lauren, Dawson M., Dawson P., Shane, Jacoby, and Xander; and his great-grandchildren, Karis, Axton, Kyla, and Stella.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Jan. 25, at 2 p.m. at Exmore Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment was private in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family joined friends at Doughty Funeral Home Friday evening from 6 until 7:30 p.m.
