Talia Custis Taylor, 45, has announced her candidacy for Accomack County Clerk of Circuit Court. Taylor resides in Accomack County with her husband, Bobby Taylor, and their three children.

Talia is the daughter of Milton and Angie Custis of Pungoteague and Terri and John Wesley Bloxom of Chincoteauge.

Taylor graduated from Nandua High School in 1996. She started her career path in local banking and then became the finance director for Midway Automotive.

For the last nine years, she has worked as a senior loan officer for Cornerstone Home Lending in Onley.

Taylor’s experience working with real estate offices, attorneys, and title companies gives her an insight into the transactions that happen daily in the clerk’s office, she said.

Taylor has been a member of the Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and the auxiliary’s Hospital Ball committee, co-chairing the event for two years.

Taylor and her husband have been active with their children’s activities, including being members of the school’s PTA and involved in dance, baseball, gymnastics, and street hockey.

“In every position I’ve held, service to the public has been paramount. I am asking the voters of Accomack County to place their trust in me for this all-important office, and I promise to deliver the highest level of service possible,” said Taylor.
