Mrs. Bonnie Lee Bunting, 64, of Parksley, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on June 14, 2023, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
She was born July 10, 1958, in Crisfield, Md. Bonnie was the firstborn in a set of triplets to the late Kay F. Linton and William “Billy” Brittingham.
She was a 1976 graduate of Pocomoke High School. Bonnie had many endeavors throughout her life including owning and operating with her late husband the Eastern Shoreman Restaurant in Pocomoke City for ten years. Up until the time of her diagnosis, she was the activities director at Hartley Hall Nursing Home in Pocomoke City and thoroughly enjoyed her job and the residents.
She can best be described as always having a smile on her face and always being kind and compassionate to all she encountered.
She is survived by fiancée, Martin Watkinson; loving family, Ashley Watkinson, Kyle Watkinson, Tyler Watkinson, and Nikki Watkinson; grandchildren, Natalie, Hailey, Grayson, Kenson, and Mackenzie; sister, Cathy Cox; brother, Bobby Brittingham (Terry); special aunt, Carolyn Lou Thomas; several aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 22 years, Harry Clay Bunting Jr., step-father, Lester “Brooks” Linton, brother, Billy Brittingham, and twin granddaughters, Addison Lou and Kenslee Kay Watkinson.
Visitation was Monday, June 19, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island. The funeral ceremony was directly after. Interment took place at Edge Hill Cemetery in Accomac.
