Mr. William Edward “Billy” Bull Jr., 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at his home in Lexington, S.C. Billy was the son of the late William Edward Bull Sr. and the late Margaret Snyder Bull of Exmore. He was born in Nassawadox on Feb. 20, 1942, and lived on the Eastern Shore of Virginia most of his life.
Billy was a graduate of Northampton High School in Eastville and Old Dominion University in Norfolk. He worked for the Virginia State Police as a dispatcher in his early years and in his later years opened his own construction company. When he retired, he and his wife, Margaret Anne Boggs Bull, moved to South Carolina to be close to their son.
Billy was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Anne Boggs Bull, his daughter, Lisa Bull Berman, and his second wife, Brenda Coburn Bull. He is survived by his son, Dr. William Edward “Ed” Bull III, and his wife, Janet Hooks Bull, of Painter; his sister, Jennie Bull Stewart, and her husband, John Mason Stewart, of Jamesville; his granddaughter, Victoria Berman Whitaker, and her husband, Andy Whitaker, of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and his niece, Dr. Jennifer Leigh Bevan, and her husband, Dr. Gordon Stables, of La Mirada, Calif. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
