Mr. Donald Colburn Simpson, 86, husband of the late Pauline Voyles Simpson and a resident of Exmore, passed away Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at his residence. A native of Quinby, he was the son of the late Dorsey H. Simpson and the late Beulah Spence Simpson. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a retired carpenter and waterman.
He is survived by two sons, Earl T. Simpson of Exmore, and Donald Marvin Simpson and his wife, Rita, of Pungoteague; a daughter, Wendy Gail Harris of Melfa; a brother, Dennis Simpson of Keller; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two grandsons, Shawn Simpson and Joseph Simpson; a brother, Earl Simpson; and a sister, Shirley Clayton.
To honor his wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
