Mr. Cornal E. Finney, 59, of Mappsville, fell asleep in death on June 13, 2022, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk after a long illness.
He was born Jan. 9, 1963, in Mappsville, to Harvey “Ben” and Madeline Virginia Finney. Cornal was reared by his stepfather, the late Emanuel Fletcher Sr., and was the youngest of five brothers.
Cornal received his education in the public schools of Accomack County. His occupation as a truck driver took him to many places across the country.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Brother Joe E. Rowley Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Wharton Cemetery, Parksley.
He will be lovingly missed by his dear mother, Madeline; daughter, Tiffany Marie; grandchildren, Devon and Nikyah; brothers, Harvey (Mary) and Glenn (Olive), his caregivers for the last three years; stepbrother, Emanuel; stepsister, Maxine; special friend, Calvin Custis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
