Mr. Noah Robert Taylor Sr., 88, husband of the late Annie Elizabeth Killmon Taylor and a resident of Melfa, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Shore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Parksley. Born July 30, 1933, in Guilford, he was the son of the late Frank and Martha Taylor.

Following high school, Noah enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps, proudly serving his country under active duty until 1956 and in the reserves until 1961. He retired from NASA Wallops, where he worked as a supervisor in the office of procurement for many years. He was a former member of Faith Assembly of God in Leemont, and was a devoted husband and father of eight.

Noah is survived by his children, Robert “Frankie” Taylor and his wife, Maureen, of Springfield, Pa., Sharon Taylor Killmon and her husband, Ronnie, of Bloxom, Ronald Wayne Taylor, of Virginia Beach, Dawn Marie Taylor and Randy Miller, of Hopeton, and Tony Taylor, of Bloxom; sister, Evelyn Annis, of Bloxom; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by three children, Noah “Robbie” Taylor Jr., Valerie Taylor Baumgardner, and Brenda Taylor Applegate; brother, Elwood Taylor; and sisters, Irene Taylor Annis and Roxanna Taylor Hicks.

Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Wayne Asbury officiating. Interment, with military honors, will follow at the Fairview Lawn Cemetery. There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
