Shore Soccer Travel Team Claims Championship

The Shore Soccer League, after accreditation by Virginia Youth Soccer Association, last winter created its first travel teams. Last weekend, the Boys Under 14 (U14) team traveled to the Hampton Roads Soccer Complex in Virginia Beach to participate in the Coastal Kickoff Tournament. In its second competition, the Shore team went 4-0 and only allowed one goal in the Boys U14 All-Star Blue Division. The two-day, five-team competition started May 15, with the Shore team going 2-0 after defeating Beach Football Club Fusion 7-1 and Beach FC Fast and Furious 10-0. The following day was equally impressive as the team defeated Chesapeake Soccer Club’s Manchester City 8-0 before moving on to defeat the CSC Hawks 6-0 for the team’s first club championship.
