Mrs. Betty C. Dix, 86, of Greenbush, gained her angel wings on Monday, Dec. 7, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born in Onancock, Betty was the youngest of seven children of the late Ivory “Ike” and Fannie Davis. She was employed for many years at both Holly Farms and Perdue. After retiring from Perdue, Betty later was employed by Roses, where she was affectionately known as “Miss Betty.” Betty married the late Alonzo “Bud” Dix Jr., and this union was blessed with three children.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. Milton P. Bunting officiating. Interment was in the Metropolitan Bayside Community Cemetery, Onancock.
Betty leaves to cherish her memory: son, Wayne Dix; two daughters, Pamela Dix and Tracey Ridley; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
