Mrs. Katherine Grace Fletcher-Smith, 83, of Parksley, transitioned to her eternal home on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at Coliseum Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Hampton.
Katherine was the daughter of Isaac and Ambert Fletcher. She was affectionately known as “Ma Katherine” by her family and friends. Katherine was a faithful employee of Perdue Farms until she retired. She married her life partner and friend, Upsher Smith, on June 6, 1981.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at the Chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac. Interment was in the Foundation of Faith Worship Cemetery, Belle Haven, with Bishop David Sabatino officiating.
“Ma Katherine” leaves to cherish many fond memories of her: her two granddaughters, Centoria Fisher and LaRhonda Fletcher; two great-granddaughters, Emalynn Fisher and Taylor Fisher; daughter-in-law, Betty Fletcher; two bonus daughters; eight bonus grandchildren; eight bonus great-grandchildren; her spiritual son and Overseer, Bishop David Sabatino, and daughter, Gloria Sabatino; along with a host of other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
