Mrs. Audrey Grace Miller Davis, 86, of New Church, wife of the late Willie A. Davis Jr., passed away Oct. 24, 2018, at Anchorage Healthcare Center in Salisbury, Md.

Born on Jan. 6, 1932, in Withams, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Miller and Louise Taylor Miller. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a member of the Old School Baptist Church in Snow Hill, Md. She was also a member of the Bay Country Rose Society. She was an amazing Mom and Mom-Mom who never met a stranger and had the heart of an angel. Her family was her most prized possession, and her famous Davis’ chicken salad recipe helped to raise tens of thousands of dollars for organizations on the Eastern Shore. Her true and sincere kindness was known by all who ever met her.

Mrs. Davis is survived by four children, Patricia Davis, of New Church, Beth Sharpley and husband, John, of New Church, Bill Davis and wife, Connie, of New Church, and Tom Davis and wife, Cherron, of New Church; a brother, Bobby Miller and wife, Betty Jean, of Pocomoke City, Md.; nine grandchildren, Elaine McNure and husband, Moe, Elizabeth Powell and husband, Ryan, Tommy Davis and wife, Meredith, Ashley Davis, Benjamin Davis and wife, Valyn, Cordie Lee Davis, Katie Moreland and husband, Kevin, Jonathan Sharpley, and Sarah Derrickson and husband, Kyle; and 14 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Payton and Harley McNure, Abigail Taylor, Madison and Ella Powell, Ava Davis, Audrey, Ty, Willie and Colby Davis, Landon and Parker Moreland and Gunner Derrickson; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Miller Justice, and husband, Jimmy, of Wattsville.

A funeral service was conducted Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018, from the graveside of the Nelson Cemetery, in New Church, with Elder Bob Lackey officiating.
