Mrs. Irene Wilson Willett, 86, wife of the late Lee Kellam Willett and a resident of Painter, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock. A native of Painter, she was the daughter of the late Albert Jackson Wilson and the late Tracey Irene Bennett Wilson. She was retired from the Onley Farmers & Merchants Bank, a member of Painter-Garrison’s United Methodist Church and Painter-Garrison’s Christian Women’s Circle.
She is survived by two children, Susan W. Beasley and her husband, Harry Martin, of Painter, and Thomas L. Willett and his wife, Tonya, of Painter; a brother, Jack Wilson and his wife, Mary Jane, of Land O’ Lakes, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Grant Beasley, Jordan Willett, Justin Willett, and Brittany Willett Blake. She was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Lee Willett Jr.; a sister, Betty Ann Colonna; and a brotherin-law, Bob Colonna.
A graveside service was conducted July 29, 2018, at Belle Haven Cemetery with Pastor Curtis D. Lucy officiating. Memorials may be made to Painter-Garrison’s United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 502, Painter, VA 23420.
