Mrs. Carol Ann Wray Barrineau, 74, passed away from this life on Sunday, July 22, 2018.
Born Jan. 11, 1944, in Baltimore, Md., she was a daughter of the late Mary and Pete Wray. Ms. Barrineau attended Shenandoah University, in Winchester, Va., and Pan American Business School, in Richmond, Va., and later retired from NASA Wallops Flight Facility in February of 2012. She was a member of Market Street United Methodist Church.
Ms. Barrineau is survived by her son, David Barrineau and wife, Tiffany, of Satellite Beach, Fla., and their two children, Connor and Ariel; sister, Adelaide Hollandsworth, of Onley; nephews, Robert Hollandsworth Jr. and wife, Margaret, of Bellevue, Neb., Dr. Tom Hollandsworth and wife, Mary, of Onancock, and Michael Hollandsworth and wife, Linette, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and their children. Ms. Barrineau’s former husband is retired Army Col. Ron Barrineau, of Colombia, S.C. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Frank Wray, and her faithful dog, Bear.
Funeral services will be conducted from the chapel of the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home on Friday, July 27, 2018, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. J. Barton Weakley officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery.
