The Northampton County Board of Supervisors will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, July 1, to discuss retaining “a special adviser.”
The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in board chambers in Eastville. The only agenda items are two discussions that supervisors can legally hold in private.
The first is “to discuss retention of a special adviser to the board of supervisors and the management thereof.”
It is unclear what type of advice the five-member board of supervisors is seeking.
The board of supervisors has a retinue of legal, planning, financial, and managment advisors on the county staff.
The second item scheduled for closed session is a consultation “with the county attorney regarding the county’s authority to make loans.”
