Mr. Tyler Wade Crockett passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the age of 25.
Tyler was a graduate of Arcadia High School and was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and kind heart. He had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, no matter the situation. Even on someone’s darkest day, Tyler could find a way to bring a smile to their face. His sense of humor was one of his greatest gifts, and being around him made your heart feel lighter and your smile a little bigger.
Tyler loved sports and being active. He enjoyed playing football through Parks and Recreation, studying karate under Sensei Baines, and playing basketball and especially hockey. Whether competing on the court, field, or rink, Tyler loved the friendships, teamwork, and laughter that came with the game just as much as the competition itself.
When he wasn’t playing sports, Tyler could often be found riding dirt bikes, fishing, shooting with friends and family, helping his dad cut firewood, or spending time outdoors. He had a unique fascination with snakes and other creatures that many people would rather avoid. Tyler loved adventure and was never afraid to explore something new.
Family meant everything to Tyler. He loved holiday celebrations, family gatherings, gift giving, and traveling to visit loved ones. Christmas was one of his favorite times of year. Because he was so deeply loved by so many people, Tyler often celebrated multiple Christmases each year, and he cherished every moment spent making memories with family and friends.
Above all else, Tyler loved and cherished his mother, Aja Henderson. She was the love of his life. When she became ill, Tyler remained faithfully by her side, offering comfort, support, and unwavering love. Their bond was extraordinary, and the love they shared shaped the person Tyler became. Losing her was one of the greatest heartbreaks of his life, but the love he carried for her never faded.
Tyler was also blessed with lifelong friendships that became family. He shared countless adventures, celebrations, laughs, and unforgettable memories with Josh, Tyler, and Cody, who were more than friends — they were brothers in every way that mattered. Through good times and hard times, their bond remained strong, and those friendships were among the greatest treasures of his life.
The Shore lost a good one on June 5. Tyler’s smile, laughter, loyalty, and loving spirit touched countless lives. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, included, and valued. His memory will live on in the stories shared around family tables, the laughter of friends, and the traditions he loved so dearly.
Tyler was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Aja Henderson.
He is survived by his father, Derrick Crockett (Alyssa), of Bloxom; his dad, Keith Davis and Sherry, of Hallwood, who lovingly raised him and helped shape the man he became; his siblings, Jeremy (Hailie), Ava, Bella, Declen, Linken, and Aryan Crockett; his paternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Crockett; his maternal grandmother, Debbie Fleming; his step-grandmother, Joyce Webb; his aunts and uncle, Julie Cluett, Michelle Henderson Gates, Jackie Crockett, and Matthew Dyer; his special lifelong friends, Josh, Tyler, and Cody; and countless other friends, coworkers, and extended family members whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.
A service celebrating Tyler’s life will be held at the Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday, June 27, at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Mark Layne officiating.
