Mrs. Ruth Scoblic Jones, formerly of Cheriton, went to be with the Lord on March 18, 2026, at age 93.
After a long battle with Alzheimer’s, she died at her home in Dunnellon, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert (Bob) C. Jones, a former mayor of Cheriton.
She is survived her children, Steve Jones (Barbie), of Penney Farms, Fla., Karen Jones, of Dunnellon, and Jerry Jones (Karen), of Chesapeake; and loads of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
