Mr. Robert Duer Savage, 80, a resident of Stanardsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
Born in Nassawadox, he was the son of the late Charles Sydney Savage and the late Gladys Duer Savage. He was a carman for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad and a member of the CSX Carmens Association.
He is survived by his children, Robert Duer Savage Jr., of Gloucester, and Sharon Kaye Savage, of Stanardsville; his brother, Ralph Thomas Savage (Jennifer), of Heathsville, and sister, Janet Lee Jenkins, of Yorktown; and his sister-in-law, Jayne S. Savage, of Indian Harbor, Fla.; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Sydney Savage Jr. and Richard Wharton Savage.
Graveside services will be held at Belle Haven Cemetery on Saturday, March 15, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Joel E. Meitz officiating.
