Ms. Georgia M. Davis, 53, of Greenbush, departed this life on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2020, at Norfolk Health & Rehab in Norfolk.
Born in Accomack, Georgia was the daughter of Helen Davis and the late James S. Davis Sr. She was affectionately known as “Penny” by her family and friends. Her passion for caring for others led her to pursue a career in nursing. She became a hospice nurse and worked for several years until her health failed.
Graveside services were held Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at the First Baptist Cemetery, Mappsville, with the Rev. Jazmine Brooks officiating.
Penny leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, Ryan and Christopher Strand; two grandchildren; her mother, Helen Davis; two sisters, Sabrina Davis and Lashammia Kellam; one brother, James S. Davis Jr.; lifetime friend, Kurt Strand; five aunts; one uncle; three nephews; one niece; the extended Strand family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
