Mr. Antonio Lostrangio, 94 years old, died peacefully at home Saturday, Aug. 24, 2019. Born to Nicola and Margherita Lostrangio in Grassano, Matera, Italy, he came to the United States through Canada settling in West Orange, N.J., then retired to Onancock, Va., before moving to the Stockholm section of Hardyston Twp., N.J.

Mr. Lostrangio served with the Italian military during World War II and then worked as a mason for the West Orange Board of Education for many years retiring in 1990. Mr. Lostrangio was a former member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Onley, Va., and was a member of the The Golden Gang with the Pocomoke Bowling League in Maryland. He took great joy in bowling, gardening and fishing.

Mr. Lostrangio is predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marie “Phyllis” Celiberti Lostrangio (2016); a daughter, Margherite Van Hine (2018); two brothers, Giuseppe and Dominick; and a sister, Anna. Mr. Lostrangio is the devoted father of Maria Ross and her husband, David, of Stockholm, N.J.; loving grandfather of Charlie, Nicole, Alexandria, Rachel and Kira; cherished great-grandfather of Marlene; dear brother of Femia Dinnino, of Downsview, Ontario, Canada; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Mass will be Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin, N.J. Cremation services were private by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, One Main Street, Franklin, N.J. Information and condolences can be found at www.fjohnramseyfuneralhome.com
