Mr. Ryan Lamont Turner, whose life journey began on Nov. 23, 1969, at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in New Jersey, completed his earthly sojourn on Nov. 9, 2025, at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., following an extended illness.
His life was a testament to the joy of a journey well-traveled, characterized by hard work, integrity, and the love of a life deeply anchored in faith, family, and service to others.
Ryan leaves behind a loving family: his devoted wife, Sheila; his cherished son, Jared, and daughter, Shaina; his dedicated parents, Larry C. and Gwendolyn Turner; his brother, Rodney Turner (Christine); his grandmother, Beulah Hickman; and a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, numerous special cousins, best friends, extended family, and friends.
A service to celebrate Ryan’s life was held on Friday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Fellowship AME, 11710 Beltsville Drive, Calverton, MD 20705. Interment followed at Maryland National Memorial, 13300 Baltimore Ave., Laurel, MD 20707.
