Nov 14, 2025 | Obituaries

Mr. Reuben Quanbeck passed away surrounded by his loving family under the care of hospice.

Reuben is survived by his loving wife, Kim Quanbeck; his daughter, Martha Quanbeck and her daughter, Piper Anglebrandt, of Grand Forks, N.D.; and his daughter, Alexandra Sullivan (Marissa) and her daughter, Charlee, of Memphis, Tenn.

Affectionately known as Mr. Q, Reuben leaves a legacy of many years as a social studies teacher at Northampton High School. Thousands of students benefited from Mr. Q’s methods of teaching and learning. His primary purpose in the classroom was to instill in his students critical thinking skills. The classroom was about life lessons, not necessarily social studies.

Mr. Q was also the public address announcer for various high school sporting events and activities, including the Grand March for many proms. He became known as the voice of Northampton High School. He is best remembered as the public address announcer for Yellow Jacket football, bringing a personal and professional touch to each and every football game.

Blessed be his memory!

There will be no visitation and no funeral services. A celebration of life will be scheduled for a later date. Memorials may be made to Riverside Cancer Center, Riverside Hospice, or the Northampton County Education Foundation.
