
After an extensive seven-month-long search, the Friends of Onancock School Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Corey Kavulich has been chosen as the new executive director. Kavulich began working at the Historic Onancock School on Monday, April 7.
Kerry Baird, President of FOS Board of Directors said, “Corey’s extensive experience in community building, event planning, and fundraising for several different organizations makes him an exceptional choice for this position. We are confident that under his leadership, Friends of Onancock School’s success and impact in realizing its mission and vision will flourish. Corey’s appreciation of all that Historic Onancock School has to offer makes him the perfect candidate to fill this very important role and to lead our organization through its next phase of growth.”
The search for an executive director began in August of 2024. The hiring committee received and reviewed numerous applications for the position and conducted many interviews. The Historic Onancock School will host a meet-and-greet with the new executive director in the near future.
