Mrs. Arlene Courtney Etz Rock, 74, of Cape Charles, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, George E. Etz Jr. and Alice C. Etz; her husband, Louis R. Rock; her sisters, Betty E. Ligon and Brenda E. Spady; and her niece, Rebecca D. Wheatley.
Arlene is survived by her sisters, Sue E. Canady and Linda D. Wheatley; her nieces and nephews, Julie Mathews, Peyton Ellenor (Jack), Allison Craven, Benjamin Clayton, and George Ligon (Alisha); her stepson, Ronald Rock (Marie); her granddaughter, Jayla Harmon, and Jayla’s mother, Jordan Harmon; and numerous nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 2 p.m., at Lower Northampton Baptist Church, with Barry Downing and the Rev. Jeff Conrow officiating. Friends and family are invited to the social hall after services conclude.
