Mr. Kim Lewis Mazzola, 77, of Horntown, passed away on Oct. 9, 2024. Born on Sept. 3, 1947, Kim led a life marked by humor, enthusiasm, commitment to his family, and a love for sports and automobiles.
Kim’s career was notably spent at HMS Fabrics in New York City, where his dedication and hard work were well respected. Beyond his professional life, Kim was passionate about coaching sports, a reflection of his vibrant and engaging personality. He also enjoyed playing golf and was a car enthusiast.
Kim’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving wife, Carole; his children, Kieran and his wife, Carolyn, Courtney, and Craig and his wife, Michele. His joy was further multiplied by his grandchildren, Andrew, Charlotte, Vivienne, Jackson, and Evie. Kim also leaves behind his siblings, Stephen and Kristine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Veronica. A memorial service to celebrate Kim’s life was held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at 5 p.m. at St. Andrews Church on Chincoteague Island. The Mazzolas welcomed family and friends at their home following the service. Additionally, there will be a celebration of life in New Jersey to be planned for a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Special Olympics, an organization close to Kim’s heart, reflecting his passion for sports and his commitment to community service. Kim’s legacy of laughter, kindness, and community involvement will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by all who knew him.
