Mr. Dwyane Rodney Hall, 78, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Lake Taylor Transitional Care with his daughter by his side.

Dwyane (Dee) was a native of Montpelier in Hanover County. He also lived in Exmore for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Houck (Roger), of Virginia Beach; his son, Rodney Hall (Megan), of Washington, Ill.; his grandchildren, Cameron Houck (Madison), Garrett Houck, Tate Hall, and Mason Hall; his brother, Thomas Hall (Suzanne), of Montpelier; and his sister, Janie Lee Hall, of Gallup, N.M.

He was predeceased by his parents, Lester and Elsie May Hall, of Montpelier.

More than anything, Dwyane (Dee) was a proud father and grandfather. He was a high school athlete (Patrick Henry, class of 1964) and a U.S. Army veteran. He worked most of his life in the pest control and restaurant businesses. Dwyane was a dedicated volunteer baseball and softball coach for Shore Little League for many years.

Keeping in the tradition of charity, Dwyane made his final gift to the Anatomy Gifts Registry, leaving a lasting memory by helping medical research. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Montpelier.
