Mr. Donald Taylor, 80, of Pocomoke City, husband of the late Peggy Byrd Taylor, passed away on Sept. 8, 2024. Born on Oct. 26, 1943, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Franklin Taylor and the late Essie Virginia Williams Taylor.
Donald was a small engine mechanic and loved his job both as a profession and as a hobby. He enjoyed going to auctions, especially alongside his wife. Donald was an easygoing, caring person who would always help whenever needed. More than anything, he was endlessly devoted to his wife of 55 years, Peggy.
Donald is survived by a daughter, Rose Taylor (Sam), of Pocomoke City; grandchildren, Justin Wright (Amanda), Jordan Wright (Abigail), and Stacey Landon, all of Pocomoke City, and Hope Taylor, of Delaware; great-grandchildren, Rowen, Jordyn, and Maya Wright, and Mariah Waters; a sister, Marie Taylor, of Stephen City; and a special friend, Linda Robinson (Rob).
Other than his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Roger Taylor; and siblings, William F. Taylor Jr., Grace Eby, Robert Taylor, and Jean Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 165, Onley, VA 23418 or the American Cancer Society.
