Mrs. Mamie Patricia Justice “Pat” Gardner, 66, of Onley, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday morning, April 6, 2024, with her devoted husband, Fred, by her side.

Born July 26, 1957, in Nassawadox, she was a daughter of the late Norman Littleton “Dad Burns” Justice and the late Hazel Mamie Jones Justice, formerly of Deep Creek. Pat received an associate degree in business, was a restaurateur, and provided childcare over the years.

She was a member of the Assemblies of God. She loved fishing and was a ‘blessed fisherwoman,’ an animal lover, and liked traveling and enjoying life. She was a loving wife who deeply cared for people and brought out the best in Fred Gardner, her friend and husband for over 22 years.

In addition to her husband, Edward Frederick “Fred” Gardner Jr., she is survived by her children, Edward Frederick Gardner III (Jen) and Makenzie Elliott Gardner; a sister and two brothers, Hazel Veronica Justice Petzoldt (Jim), Jerry Rawlins Justice, and Edward Thomas “Ned” Justice; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

In addition to her parents, Pat was predeceased by her son, Ryan Justice; and a sister and four brothers, Jacquelyn Justice, John Preston Justice, Ray Justice, Norman Littleton Justice Jr., and William Neal Justice.

A service to celebrate Pat’s life will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 2 p.m., at the Williams-Onancock Funeral Home, with Pastor John Mazziott officiating.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
