Mrs. Susan M. Smith went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2024.
The daughter of William Albert Meekins and Lydia (Patureau) Meekins, she was born Sept. 4, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Smith; a son, Carl Thompson; two daughters, Deborah Brady and her husband, Frankie, and Susan Talbott; a brother, Roger Meekins and his wife, Sherrill; a nephew, Bruce Meekins and his wife, Nicole; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William Thompson. A private service was held on Saturday Feb. 3, 2024. Interment was private in Capeville Masonic Cemetery.
