Mrs. Sallie Anne Mason Manuel, 91, wife of the late Bruce A. Manuel and a resident of Onancock, formerly of Exmore, passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023, at Commonwealth Senior Living at the Eastern Shore in Onancock.
A native of Belle Haven, she was the daughter of the late William R. Mason and the late Lola Truitt Mason. She was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church and was a retired nursing assistant for Dr. Stith at Eastern Shore Physicians and Surgeons.
Sallie is survived by her children, Edwin H. “Chip” Manuel and his wife, Paula, of Salisbury, Md., and Martha Ann Wright and her husband, David, of Chesapeake; five grandchildren, Chris, Lindsay, Jason, Hillary, and Tori; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Doughty Funeral Home with the Rev. Jonathan Carpenter officiating. Interment followed in Belle Haven Cemetery. Family received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Belle Haven United Methodist Church, P.O.
