Mrs. Rosetta Elizabeth “Rosie” Wolfe, beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, partner, and best friend, passed away on Friday, Oct. 20, 2023. Rosie was born July 17, 1974, a daughter to Fred Elmer Wolfe and Cynthia Sue Barnard, in Medina, N.Y.

Growing up in New York, she loved hanging out with her family and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. When she was a teenager, she met the man who would become the love of her life, William Russell Landon. Russell took her to prom and they fell in love. The teenage sweethearts ended up going their separate ways. However, fate found its way, and although the years had passed, they found each other again. She moved with her soulmate to Saxis a few years ago. They enjoyed camping at Cherrystone, traveling to Niagara Falls, watching sunsets over the water, and relaxing at home together.

Funny and sassy, Rosie worked hard as a certified nursing assistant, but loved her job and her patients. She was a giving soul who took it upon herself to care for those who were unable to care for themselves. She spent many years working for Absolute Nursing Home in Gasport, N.Y., before moving to the Eastern Shore of Virginia and working for Shore Health & Rehab in Parksley.

Rosie enjoyed spoiling her nieces and nephews. She was a wonderful aunt and cherished the time she was able to spend with the little ones. She also loved her kitties, and her kitties loved her right back. Riley, her dog, saw just as much affection from Rosie (his heart is very sad, missing his Mama). Rosie’s family was of utmost importance to her. If she wasn’t cheering for the Buffalo Bills as a staunch member of the Bills Mafia, she could be found talking to her family on the phone. She rarely missed a chance to chat with them every evening.

Rosie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Cindy and William Barnard, of Gasport, N.Y.; father and stepmother, Fred and Sue Wolfe, of Gasport; soulmate, Russell Landon, of Saxis; sisters, Shannon LaForme, of Middleport, N.Y., and Erin Barnard, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; brother, William A. Barnard III, of Gasport; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and all of her fur babies.

Per her wishes, no public service will be held.
