Mr. Ervin Evans, 66, was born on Aug. 21, 1957, in Atlantic, to the late Milton Watson and Geraldine Evans. He departed this life on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones after his battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Ervin was educated in Accomack County Public Schools and graduated from Atlantic High School. He was employed by Tyson Foods as a live haul manager for 39 years before retiring in 2020.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023, from Jerusalem Baptist Church, Temperanceville, with the Rev. Richard Holland officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Ervin leaves to cherish his fond memories his longtime companion, Veronica Morton; grandchild, Ra’Nya Howard, whom he raised as his own; two daughters, Nicole Jackson and Kelly Evans; one son, Keshaun Hinmon; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Craig Evans, Kiplin Evans, and Daniel Douglas; three sisters, Linda Ann Evans, Connie Wicklund, and Cordelia Davis; stepmother, Joyce Laws Watson; three stepsisters, Sarah Marshall, Linell Logan, and Nicole Crosby; two stepbrothers, James Crosby and Carl Laws; three children that he raised as his own, Anita Seidu, Demetrice West, and Elijah West; special cousins, Ricky Wharton and Ronnie Holden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements were by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
