Mr. Malvern “Mel” A. Rogers, 61, of Hallwood, passed away Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023. Born Aug. 16, 1962, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Malvern W. Rogers and the late Joan E. Lipsitz.
He enjoyed life with his late wife, Carol S. Rogers. Mel is leaving behind to cherish his memory his two sons, Jay Rogers (Jessica), and Shawn Rogers (Susan); his sister, Marcell Hall; and his brother, Michael Rogers.
He is also survived by his six grandchildren, Shawn, Joey, Kristie, Hayden, Lila, and Rosalyn.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. at the Greenbackville Fire House, 1749 Stockton Ave., Greenbackville, VA 23356. Anyone who wishes to celebrate Mel’s life is invited to attend.
