MELFA: Man shot Saturday night at shisha lounge

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred at the Billies Shisha Lounge & Restaurant that left one man injured on Friday, July 15.

A man was injured in a shooting on the night of Saturday, July 15, at a Melfa shisha lounge shooting.

The victim’s name was not released by the Accomack County Sheriff’s Office. He is hospitalized at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in stable condition, according to a sheriff’s office release.

At 11:22 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of a possible gunshot victim at Billies Shisha Lounge & Restaurant in the 29000 block of Lankford Highway in Melfa.

Deputies arrived at the scene and found a 28-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The Accomack County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Virginia State Police, the Onley Police Department, the Onancock Volunteer Fire Department, and the Painter Volunteer Fire Department.
