A Northampton County man was fatally injured in a single-vehicle crash on the evening of Tuesday, July 11.
Nelson Cruz, 34, a resident of the 4100 block of Sunnyside Road, Cheriton, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a state police press release.
Cruz was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Colorado westbound on Cobb Station Road, between Cheriton and Eastville, when he ran off the right side of the roadbed, overcorrected, and ran off the road again, striking several trees, state police reported.
The vehicle overturned and Cruz was ejected. He was not wearing a seat belt.
Causative factors are under investigation.
