Mrs. Erika Cherrelle Bailey, age 27, of Parksley, passed away on Nocks Landing Road in Atlantic on April 12, 2023, from a tragic accident.
Erika was born on March 14, 1996, in Nassawadox to Eric and Tammy Ward. She was educated in the public schools of Accomack County and was a 2014 graduate of Arcadia High School. In later years, she enrolled in Fortis College to become a medical assistant. She was employed at Plastic Fabricator in Pocomoke City, Md.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. John’s U.M. Church, Atlantic, with Bishop David Sabatino officiating. Interment was in the Wharton Cemetery in Parksley.
Erika is survived by her parents, Eric and Tammy Ward; one daughter, Morgan Kennedi Evans and her father, Prentice Evans; brother, Eric Ward Jr.; sister, Breshell Morris; special friend, Duane Turner; four aunts, Cassandras Bailey, Teresa Snead, Veronica Poulson, and Vickie Poulson; four uncles, William Ward Jr., Ronald Lykes, Govan Snead Jr., and Timothy Finney Sr.; grandparents, Ethel Ward and Ross and Martha Bailey; and a host of close cousins, other relatives, and friends. Erika will be missed and the bond of her ten cousins has been broken.
