Mr. Ralph Lasher passed away peacefully in Onancock, on June 23, 2022, after a long and well-lived life. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, and leaves behind four children, nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews. After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII, he served his community as a volunteer firefighter while working as a carpenter. He later joined the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, where he served for several years. He was also active in several local organizations. He was quick to help a friend in need and always enjoyed getting people to laugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Melfa Rescue Squad, Melfa, VA 23410. A private service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
