Mrs. Miriam Outten Lewis Holland, 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Peak Healthcare at Hartley Hall, Pocomoke City, Md., after a long battle with cancer. She said, “I’m not dying. I’m living and spreading God’s love to everyone.”

She was the daughter of the late Otho T. Outten and the late Vivian Mister Outten. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy Joseph Lewis, who died of cancer and her second husband, Harry K. Holland, who also died of cancer. She attended Lynn Haven Baptist Church.

She is survived by her five children, Billy Joseph Lewis, of Pocomoke City, Deborah Lewis Jones and her husband, Donald, of Pocomoke City, Glenn Curtis Lewis and his wife, Pam, of Richmond, Harry Craig Holland and his wife, Julie, of Pocomoke City, and Thomas Brian Holland and his wife, Mary, of Parsonsburg, Md.; one brother, Fred Outten, and his wife, Clair, of Covington, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Wanda Outten, Gladys Holland, and Audrey Holland; 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, and longtime friends. Miriam was also preceded in death by her brother, Otho Franklin Outten; sister, Frances O. Wyatt; brother-in-law, Linwood Walton Wyatt Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Dolly Lewis. During her life at Hartley Hall she made many special friends with the residents and staff and new-found blessed friend Bonnie Young, whom she cherished.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 1 p.m., at Doughty Funeral Home, with Mickey Ashby officiating.
