The Nandua Warriors varsity softball team matched up against Nottoway High School for the Class 2 Region A semifinal game on May 31, in Onley. The Lady Warriors fought hard through extra innings but were unable to outscore Nottoway. Nandua concluded its season after the 7-6 loss.
Reghan Hintz threw the complete eight-inning game, allowing seven runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.
The Warriors collected seven hits on the day with Kathleen McAuliffe leading the team, going 2-for-4. Jordan Crockett, Haylie Justice, Reagan Justice, Mia LeCates-Brown, and Logan Woermer each recorded hits in the game as well with H. Justice, R. Justice, Woermer, and McAuliffe all hitting doubles.
