Mr. Charles L. Baines III, 50, of Painter, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Painter, he was the beloved son of Charles E. Baines Jr. and Gloria L. Mosley. He was affectionately known as “Little Charles,” “Charlie Boy,” “Wolverine,” “Mr. Kicks,” The Karate Kid,” “Baines,” and “Eastern Shore Golden Boy.” Charles was employed with the Accomack County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy.
He attended New Life Christian Center in Salisbury, Md., under the leadership of Pastor Alice Knox. He enjoyed working out, karate, kickboxing, watching old karate movies, and traveling. He won many awards and medals for his kickboxing all over.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 28, 2022, at Nandua Middle School, Onley, with Brother Charles L. Baines IV officiating.
He is survived by his father, Charles E. Baines Jr; mother and stepfather, Gloria and Charles Mosley; spiritual mother, Alice Knox; one son, Charles L. Baines IV; one stepdaughter, Brittany Young; one goddaughter, Carly Roughton; one brother, Terrance Stratton; two sisters, Jeanesta White and Selena Tankard; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
