The Northampton Yellow Jackets varsity boys soccer team traveled to Arcadia Monday, May 9. The final score was 2-1 in favor of Northampton. Henry Mayorga scored the Yellow Jackets’ first goal off a deflected shot by Kevin Maldonado. Thomas Dix scored the second goal in the victory off a header by Mayorga. Julio Thomas-Venegas had a big day in the net with multiple game-saving goals.
Northampton extends its record to 7-4 and picks up its first district win of the season. The Yellow Jackets are scheduled to play again on Friday, May 13, against Franklin at home.
