Mr. George Edward Williams, 93, was born Dec. 10, 1928, on the Eastern Shore.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Vickie and Pam; two sons, David and Mark; two sisters, Elva and Sue; many devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his 42 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Like clockwork, he would sing “Happy Birthday” to them via telephone, along with his wife of over 20 years, Barbara.

He  was predeceased by his son, Wade, and daughter, Sincere Rae.

At an early age, George left school to help his mother care for the family. He joined the merchant marines and later the Air Force. He served in the Korean War. He and his wife, Shirley, raised a fine family of children. He built two houses himself and did a great job.

George served as deacon of Lower Northampton Baptist Church for the last 20 years.

George had love for chickens, flowers, and plants. It didn’t matter if it was fruits or vegetables – everything he planted grew.

He was a blessing to his blended family andd will be missed immensely.

In the early morning of March 22, 2022, his journey ended and he is now home with his Heavenly Father.

A Celebration of Life will be held April 16, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Lower Northampton Baptist Church in Capeville.
