Mrs. Estella Taylor Robinson, 64, formerly of Onancock, departed this life Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.
Born in Onancock, Estella was the daughter of Dorothy L. Taylor White and the late Edward L. Taylor Sr. She was affectionately known as “Essie” or “Stella Bell” by her loving family and closest friends. Essie was a social worker for over 40 years. She was a 1975 graduate of Onancock High School and received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree from Norfolk State University.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with the Rev. J.D. Rich officiating and the eulogy by the Rev. Morris L. Allmond Sr. Interment was in the Metropolitan Bayside Community Cemetery, Onancock.
She is survived by her spouse, Ricky Robinson, and his three sons, Marlon Walker, Bryan Robinson, and Javan Robinson; two grandchildren; her mother and caregiver, Dorothy Taylor White; siblings, Phyllis T. Wessells (William), Edward L. Taylor Jr. (Angela), and Vanessa T. Copeland (Randy); brother-in-law, Leander Roberts Jr.; sisters-in-law, Denise Robinson and Zina Robinson; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, special cousins, and friends.
