Mrs. Pearlie Mae Dickerson, 82, of Mappsville, departed this life Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Mappsville, Pearlie was the beloved daughter of the late Vernon L. Downing Sr. and the late Lena W. Downing. She was employed at Holly Farms for numerous years and also worked at Stoltzfus Plant Farm in Maryland for over 20 years.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 12, 2022, at the chapel of Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac, with Pastor Vincent West officiating. Interment was in the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery, Atlantic.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her four daughters, Temeka Dickerson, Lakonda Bowser, Rosa Justice, and Alice Jones; three sons, Eddie Savage, Bruce Johnson, and David Dickerson; stepdaughter, Cortina Bailey; goddaughter, Augusta Scarborough; 19 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Downing Jr. and Diree Justice Jr.; one sister, Jacqueline Lilliston; one sister-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Arrangements are by the Cooper & Humbles Funeral Co., Accomac.
