Ms. Angela Marie Kellam, 44, angel on earth to family, friends, and coworkers, grew her heavenly wings Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2022. Born July 24, 1977, in Nassawadox and raised in Parksley, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Colona, of Parksley, and Betty Ruark Colona, of Bloxom.

With a smile that healed all sadness, a loving soul that soothed all heartache, and an insatiable laugh that brought joy to everyone, Angela was instantly adored by every person she met. Over the last two decades Angela was the face of many Eastern Shore storefronts, having managed retail and convenience stores in both Virginia and Maryland.

Most recently, she worked with her daughter at Tri-Meta Wellness Center and was a traveling manager for Dollar General stores, assisting with day-to-day operations and implementation of store action plans. She never greeted a customer with anything less than her beautiful smile and patient demeanor and always led her team by example through respect and accountability.

Whether at work or play, Angela always brought the fun. She was a summer-loving Shore girl, who would dance the night away, sing to the top of her lungs, and would travel the Shore to shout, “BINGO!” She had friendships that stood the test of time through all life’s ups and downs, the kind that became family over the years. Above all else, she was most proud of her role as a mother and grandmother and never missed an opportunity to brag about her beautiful babies. Angela would want everyone to remember the words of James Dean, words she wore as a tattoo to remind herself to live life to its fullest, “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.”

In addition to her parents, Angela leaves to cherish her memory her children, Brittany Colona (Tony Douglas Jr.), of Bloxom, and Tyler Fitchett and Shane Kellam (Issis Mcwilliams), all of Exmore; sister, Crystal Colona, of Parksley; brothers, Ben Colona (Beverly), of Ashtabula, Ohio, Robert Colona Jr., of Chesapeake, and Steven Colona (Zanaija), of Exmore; grandchildren, Bodhi Colona and Skylain Kellam; and several nieces and nephews, including her namesake, Angelo Colona, who was born Feb. 10.

A service in celebration of Angela’s life will be held at the Exmore Moose Lodge Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at 4 p.m., with Pastor Quintavion Washington officiating. There will be a visitation at the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home Friday, Feb. 18, 2022, from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Williams Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Parksley, VA 23421, to assist with funeral expenses.

Memory tributes may be shared with the family at www.williamsfuneralhomes.com

Arrangements are by the Williams-Parksley Funeral Home.
